At first, I thought I didn't have anything to contribute. But how could that possibly be? My journey began with the Bible. For many years, it was my only reference.
My experience has shown me that there is much truth to be gained from the scriptures if you read them for yourself with the intention of understanding what is meant for you. I read the book cover to cover when I was 13. I loved it. Poor little wierdo, I would come home, close my door, put on classical music and curl up with 'The Good Book'.
You see, my grandfather was a minister and my father loved that book. He had taught me that the answer to any of life's questions were in this marvelous book. So, for me, it began as a personal reference/guide book. Being a military family, we moved around a lot. I never got involved with a church until I was 14, when Dad retired. I was very accustomed to doing my own research, I later found myself in disagreement with many a minister's interpretations.
What I was shown, in my personal readings were many possibilities for states of being that were not upheld by the institutions, be they church or otherwise. I clearly remember learning about teleportation, re-incarnation, extra-terrestials, as well as angels and nature spirits. I became aware that we each have spiritual gifts and that we each have
a unique place in the over-all plan. I also came to understand that Jesus would speak to me personally about my unique role.
Though I was looking so hard for my spiritual family, I found that no Earthly Christian church felt right to me. They were very rigid and sadly fear and politically oriented. When it finally was clear to me that I would not find my spiritual family in a physical church, I proclaimed myself part of the White Brotherhood of Light and maintained that my spiritual family was a medium group of spiritual beings who surrounded the Earth. Years later, to my great surprise, I learned there actually IS a White
Brotherhood of Light who surrounds the Earth and I was officially initiated into it.
In my mind there are many secrets in the Bible. You only need to ask what is pertinent to you and then listen.
