The "Flip Side" Of The "Dark Side"

As everyone should be aware, I am in the process of integrating what is the
"so called" "Dark Side" (Power) with "The Light" (Any questions, please see my
previous posting)
As I am going through this process, I asked myself
several basic questions:
If we are supposed to "accept ourselves" and
love ourselves as we are, why are we being forced to try and change ourselves
into things that may or may not be in tune with our nature... ie... we are being
"told" we must be kind, patient, humble.... etc... Why are we being told that to
be these things is "good" and their opposite must somehow be "bad". The truth of
the matter is that all of those qualities have a "good" side and a "bad" side so
rather than try to unnaturally turn them into their polar opposite, why not
accept them as part of us and TRANSMUTE them into their beneficial aspects?? Let
me give you some examples, so you understand what I mean...
Impatience
can be "transmuted" into DRIVE Anger can be transmuted into "POSITIVE
ACTION" Stubbornness can be transmuted into "PERSISTENCE"
Likewise
their polar opposite may not necessarily be a good thing. Take kindness for
example.....Is it truly kind to "coddle" someone and prevent them from growing
and being self-sufficient?? Is patience good, when you wait until just the
"right moment", only to find that opportunity has passed you by? What about
humilty? Is it good when you are not recognized for your hard work and find
negative consequences as a result??? Is anger good when you fail to correct
someone who needs it because somehow you feel you must accept them and their bad
deeds?
No wonder everyone is SOOOOOOO confused! Don't just take the
"slop" that is being fed to you.... Think for YOURSELF. Life must have PASSION!
Find your PASSION. These "so called" negative qualities are in you for a reason!
Learn to HARNESS them.
"It's not what you do, It's how you do it" "Be
anything you want to be" "It's not what you've got, It's what you do with
it" "You be you and I'll be me" "It's just a matter of
style"---
