First Decanate (Gemini-Gemini): Unless they have a variety of interests in their vocational field they become bored, restless, and unhappy. They make good speakers and are well able to communicate to the public in a way that the populace will understand. Give them people around them on the job, and they are much more effective.
With Sagittarius-Sagittarius on the nadir, they will always do right by the family. They like to invite people to the home and discuss higher-mind subjects and the latest developments. They may hold classes (in the home) and possibly take money from their students for their instruction. They may never be satisfied with their home in the sense that they will always want bigger and better ones. Perhaps they will have two: one in town and one by a lake (at least this is their greatest desire). Their high morals are beyond question.
Second Decanate (Gemini-Libra): When it comes to vocational fields they are best working with partners, people with whom they can discuss the problems and help make the decisions. They are more successful if they choose vocations where they can talk or use their powers of communication. The Libra influence makes them fair and diplomatic in dealing with their cohorts. With partners they can and do make money.
With Sagittarius-Aries on the nadir, even though they are the leaders of religious or advanced discussion groups held within the home, they may be really very secretive with their own true leanings. They will put on airs, appear to be very religious and moral in most ways, but you can bet there is a skeleton in the closet... and it may be enormous. They are always worrying about other people's homes or property. They concern themselves with other people's betterment.
Third Decanate (Gemini-Aquarius): They want the vocation to benefit as many people as it can. They desire, above all else, to mingle and discuss issues on the job, and want this to be part of how they earn their living. Theirs are not the vocations where they work alone. The desire to work with a lot of people is stronger than the kind of work they do. Original ideas concern working conditions for all others too, not just for themselves.
With Sagittarius-Leo on the nadir, they enjoy privacy in the home and will always do what is right for the family. They fail most of the time to receive the recognition they deserve. The tendency is to work behind the scenes for the person on the throne, secretly wanting to be the ruler themselves. This can give a strong spirituality to the point of martyrdom or self-sacrifice.

When Sagittarius is at the cusp of the fourth house, philosophical, religious, or ancestral concepts should be sought as roots for the stabilization and strengthening of the personality. A personal ambition to leave a strong imprint upon society may be a significant factor. The early home may be open to many influences and visitors. The mother may have intense religious convictions and impress them upon the growing child and adolescent. There may be early travels in childhood. Later on, in times of crisis, the individual will tend to renew his inner strength by strong acts of faith in his destiny, and by seeking philosophical or moral justification for his feelings and perhaps his social ambition.

The assistance of intellectuals, specialists, researchers will be important to the pursuit of a social or professional goal. This power of social adaptation and the ability to handle information should balance the determination and perhaps self-righteousness and proselytism of Sagittarius at the chart's Nadir.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, so this person needs mental stimulation in connection with his career. He can channel and release many of his thoughts, ideas and mental energies in the public arena. Since Gemini is the 'airy' expression of Mercury, he must be fascinated by his job or he will become bored and restless. Any career activity must be fast-moving, and have variety. He seeks mental stimulation in connection with social life as well. He enjoys interesting conversation, mental games that challenge him, theatre, and anything that appeals to his intellect. Gemini is a dual sign or the sign of twins. The duality really has to do with objectivity as opposed to closeness. If the person is too close in the public arena, he may have to pull away at times to gain persepective. In order to be truly stimulated and challenged mentally, this individual may need to have two occupations at once, if one is not interesting enough.
The tenth house also indicates the relationship to the parent of the same sex. He identifies with hat parent for good or otherwuse. He may copy the behavior of the parent even though he may not like some of the qualities expressed by that parent. He may share many of the parent's opinions or judgements and may develop a tendency to criticize as a result of that programming. It can be most important to examine his mental photographs in order to break those patterns. He sees the parent as someone restless, full of mental energy, easily bored but stimulating. He will choose a career as a result of his pictures of that parent. He may hear dual messages from the parent.
One young lady was shocked when she examined her mother's messages and recognized their duality. She remembered her mother saying, 'Do what you want to do. I'll support you in anything, but know your place and stay in it'. She was aware that her life was less than fulfilling as she had followed her mother's example, remaining at home, running her domestic situation to perfection, but feeling frustrated at the lack of a career. She found it extremely difficult to break that early conditioning.
Many times, Gemini MC develops its scepticism as a result of early communications with the parent of the same sex. If Mercury is well-aspected in the natal chart, the patterns set forth by that parent were encouraging and stimulating. The parent evidently was able to give permission to the child to express his thoughts and ideas, stimulating him on an intellectual level. If Mercury is not well aspecte, communication with his parent is difficult. The parent may not have fulfilled his or her true intellectual potential, inadvertently frustrating the Gemini MC child in his career fulfillment. With awareness of the programming, the personality of the child with Gemini MC can express the unfulfilled potential of that parent, going beyond the parent's accomplishments and finding his true place in the sun.
With Sagittarius on the nadir, this individual seems to pick a home and lifestyle that reflects his philosophical, expansive needs. This is the house that describes the parent of the opposite sex, and the conditions around the individual in the latter part of his life. Jupiter is the ruler of this sector of the chart when Sagittarius is on the 4th house cusp. Jupiter is the planet of luck, abundance, optimism, extravagance, and growth. The personality of the individual can express his greatest optimism and philosophy within the confines of his own home, gaining in intensity toward the thrid portion of his life. He becomes wealthier as he grows older, both in material ways and in spiritual ways.
The individual may be most extravagant in his home life, needing an opulent environment in which to thrive. Being challenged by the desire to constantly find a bigger and better place to live, he my end up owning several homes. Much of his enthusiasm is derived from the parent of the opposite sex. He has mentally photographed that parent as the philosophical, happy-go-lucky member of the family. If Jupiter is well aspected, that parent may be wealth of purse and spirit. If Jupiter is not well aspected, it is likely that the parent has disappointed the child. The parent may have promised more than could be delivered or overestimated his own abilities, disappointing himself in the process. It may be necessary for this individual to look at his mental pictures of that parent in order to release and rechannel some of his desire for challenge and growth.
He may inadvertently set up situations connected to land or home that end up as disappointments. He may overestimate his ability to expand in areas of propert and overspend. He my not give himself permission to have the kind of home he really wants, for fear of disappointment. In a positive sense, he can challenge himself by aiming toward the kind of lifestyle he really want, and by tuning in to 'luck' connected to land, property, or real estate.
The expansive nature of one with a Sagittarius IC will come full cycle when he is older. Wisdom replaces much of an insecure need for face, and his philosophy may be fully developed through his life and experiences. He is more willing to expand, grow, and take chances as he grows older. He may fulfill the potential of the parent of the opposite sex if that parent was not able to live up to all f his expectations. He will certainly develop his humor to the fullest and will be more than likely to have a luxurious life full of interesting experiences as he comes into his most mature years.
