First Decanate (Taurus-Taurus): They have strong determination to make money in a career. This person is not interested unless enough money and public acceptance goes along with it. Only then will they work harder than anyone else. Making something substantial out of nothing is one of their attributes.
With Scorpio-Scorpio on the nadir, they will never talk about the things that go on in the home life. There may be an element of sacrifice in the caring for a parent who is ill or a parent who is in financial straits. In any event there may be a situation in the family that will remain a mystery to friends or to the public. One parent may be possessive and possibly too strong or overpowering. This can also be true with Scorpio on the 10th house, but it would be the opposite parent.
Second Decanate (Taurus-Virgo): Taurus has a hard time letting go of leadership, which causes a hidden block to financial gain. They must serve willingly without conditions; then reward will come and not before. This is a spiritual lesson, somehow. Their concentration should be on the job to do, and not how much money they earn or whose ego is satisfied by leadership. Remember the forces help those people who do not care who gets the credit.
With Scorpio-Pisces on the nadir, this person may bring a skeleton-in-the-closet influence. They keep family secrets to themselves; they manifest an outward pride in the family's presentation of an image of good breeding. They can feel hurt and unloved and, by refusing to say what is bothering them, they may push the family away without meaning to do so. Then the circle goes around and around, and they feel hurt and unloved again.
Third Decanate (Taurus-Capricorn): They can be generous with the public (up to a point) if they think the job will become big enough. This gives the ability to stand up to all kinds of hardships and hard work while enduring much abuse if favorably in the public's gaze. In the end, though, they will want big financial rewards. All these drives can cause a reaction resulting in health problems.
With Scorpio-Cancer on the nadir, if there is anything wrong on the domestic scene, you will never know about it. They put up a good front, and you will think all is fine when it isn't. (Leo on the Ascendant makes them good actors.) This can give karmic conditions with the family. They keep their deeper emotions to themselves; if they feel unappreciated they may suffer secretly. Some of their problems come from holding on too tightly to members of the family. Even though they do not show it, they need to be loved and cared for - and if they are, it is the greatest rejuvenating medicine they can get. This can give a mother complex of some kind.

With Scorpio on the IC, they do a lot of growling around their family; it's the nature of the beast. But the privilege to growl is confined to the king. Outsiders should not step on the toes of any member of this person's family or they will know what it is to have a wild animal at bay. The person with this Midheaven is naturally attracted to all artistic activities in his social life or in his career. He can also be interested in matters that bring pleasure to the public, or anything that brings beauty to people in general.
The tenth house not only describes natural attraction to a particular public endeavor, it describes the way the public reacts to an individual. With Venus ruling this position, the reaction of the public to one with this Midheaven is especially favorable and full of love. Social matters are easy for one with this MC. He will always show the gracious part of his personality to the public or in his social life.
This house also describes the parent of the same sex. It indicates the relationship between the parent and the child with this placement. It would appear that love is the strongest bond between them, unless Venus is badly aspected. The child photographs the parent as beautiful, charming, and gracious, but perhaps also stubborn and determined. He inherits a natural ease in social situations from that parent. Taurean expression frequently indicates a natural ability to entertain. This parent is more than likely to have had a special ability to make people feel relaxed, at ease, and welcome. If Venus is not well aspected in the individual chart, however, there is a strong possibility that in the eyes of the individual with this MC, the parent of the same sex took the easy way out. There is then a natural tendency to avoid the artistic expression that is such a lure for one with this Midheaven. It may also be more difficult since there was no natural example from that parent to follow.
With Scorpio on the IC, these people really show their sense of style in connection with home life and lifestyle. They want royal splendour around them, and usually manage to create a symphony of lavish living. They need a king's castle to really feel on top of the world. Somehow they will find their own Taj Mahal, or a similarly opulent base from which to go forth into the world. Their castle is their home rather than the other way around. Some individuals can operate within a small space, but the Scorpio IC needs a surrounding fitting for their expansive nature. He may express his personal power or effectiveness in connection with land or real estate.
With Pluto, ruler of Scorpio, describing the fourth house of home, the biggest change in the life comes with the attainment of the kind of home he really wants. Even if his surroundings early in life are less than fitting to his royal nature, he manages to acquire his own mansion later in life. If a body of water of that power is left to flood the riverbanks, it can bring destruction in its wake, yet can be especially dynamic if it is dammer up and controlled. He sees that parent either as powerful, charismatic, magnetic, and childlike in a positive way, or as someone who manipulated or used negative game-playing to get what he wanted from life or from his Scorpio-IC child. He may have felt the rug being pulled out from under him by that parent. The parent is never someone to be ignored.
The aspects to Pluto in an individual chart indicate just how that parent used his forceful, charismatic, magnetic nature and how the Scorpio-IC assimilated the lessons from that parent. If Pluto is well-aspected, the individual inherits a sense of universality, resulting in the same high motivation that characterized the parent. If, however, Pluto is not well aspected, it may be that the parent neglected to utilize his personal magnetism for a high purpose, resorting instead to game-playing, manipulation, and a refusal to grow into his potential. The strongest message conveyed from that parent is: 'I want what I want when I want it and I'll get it any way I can'.
The positive image of Pluto indicates that the Scorpio IC is aware of the enormous effect that parent has on the people around him, uplifting them by some seemingly magnetic force.
