The Importance of Keeping One's Head Screwed on Straight, Which in Truth is the Single Most Important Key to Spiritual Success in Lifeby Dr Joshua David Stone
My Beloved Readers, this is a term that I have used in my own consciousness since my early twenties, but which I have never written about! I consider this to humbly be one of the keys to my Spiritual and Earthly success.
Most people in life do not have their heads screwed on straight. They are screwed on in an off-kilter fashion. There are so many examples of this I don't even know where to begin! For example, most people do not own their full 100% personal power to their full potential at all times. They do not remain the cause of their reality all times, and fall into victim consciousness. They are too open or too closed. They are not vigilant enough for God/dess and His/Her Kingdom. They are not Spiritually discerning enough. They fail to keep things in proper perspective. This is one of the biggest ways people do not have their heads screwed on straight. Everything in life is perspective! As the Bible says, "Be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind." Change your perception and change your life!
People do not interpret self and life properly. They forget to look at everything that happens as a Spiritual test, challenge, lesson and opportunity to grow. They fail to realize that what they see in life comes from the way they think! They fail to realize that every thought they think is, in truth, a lens they see through. They fail to cause and choose their feelings and emotions. They forget to take time to learn their lessons every day. They don't make Spiritual vows after every mistake they make! They don't apply discipline in their Spiritual practices. They lose their will to live, at times from giving up. They lose their Spiritual warrior attitude. They lose their faith, trust and patience. They give into worry and fear. They don't love themselves or allow themselves to receive Father/Mother God's love! They have attachment attitudes instead of preferences. They get caught up in the little picture instead of the big picture.
It is incredibly easy in life to lose perspective. Perspective is everything, for happiness is a state of mind, a perspective is a way of interpreting reality! Most people on Earth do not truly know how to interpret everything that happens in life from a Spiritual / Christ / Buddha / Krishna / Moses / Mohammed / Mighty I AM Presence / God /Goddess perspective instead of a negative ego / fear-based / separative / dualistic / illusionary / selfish / lower-self /materialistic perspective in an integrated and balanced way.
Most people in this world see what they want to see or see what they are programmed to see, but do not see what is really there. Another example of not having one's head screwed on straight is being either too over-identified with the Heavenly Ideal or too identified with the real world, and not finding the proper balance! Being over-identified with one Chakra or small number of Chakras and Rays and not with all of them simultaneously! Or getting overly focused on one of the 12 Schools, Colleges and Challenges of life instead of mastering and integrating all of them! The same with the Tree of Life, 12 Archetypes, 72+ Supersenses, 22 Major Arcana in the Tarot Deck, or working only on what one is good at instead of what one is not good at.
Do you see my friends how everything is perspective, attitude, perception, interpretation? That is why Sai Baba said your mind creates bondage or your mind creates liberation! Keeping one's head screwed on straight is keeping your mind in a liberated, peaceful, evenminded, happy, positive and freedom-filled state.
Most people in this world live in a state of hypnosis, within themselves and within the mass consciousness. If we get too over-identified with Heaven, Earth, yin or yang, or any one of our four bodies or the Four Faces of God, or one of the flames in the Three-Fold Flame, our head is not screwed on straight! If we get over-identified with any Sephiroth of the Tree of Life, our head is not screwed on straight. If we see from a limited lens perspective instead of an Integrated Full Spectrum Prism Consciousness perspective our head is not screwed on straight.
If we allow our subconscious mind, emotional body and inner child to run us, our head is not screwed on straight. If we don't keep our mastery and Spiritual edge in life and assertive attacking attitude in a Spiritual sense, our head is not screwed on straight. When things are not going well, the attitude that is needed is that a Spiritual battleplan needs to be set up to rectify this. Most people on Earth do not do this, so their head is not screwed on straight for life starts getting on top of them, instead of them staying on top of life! When you don't stick to your Spiritual vows in a general sense, and not a perfectionist sense, one's head is not screwed on straight.
When one knows what to do and yet does not do it, one's head is not completely screwed on straight. When one does not deny any thought that is not of God/dess to enter their consciousness and mind, one's head is not screwed on straight. When one is not practicing positive thinking and being optimistic instead is being pessimistic, one's head is not screwed on straight. When one loses their faith and gives into doubt, one's head is not screwed on straight. When one over-indulges, gives into gluttony, doesn't master one's appetites, five senses, is too pleasure seeking, doesn't master bad habits and addictions, one's head is not screwed on straight.
When one in truth does not put their total focus on God/dess and does not strive to fully realize Integrated Full Spectrum Prism Consciousness and serve others in God/dess like a drowning man wants air, one's head is not screwed on straight. When one does not put the Creator before creation, and gives into false gods, little gods,symbolic idol worship, symbolic alternative lovers, little doors, andpearls of lesser price, one's head is not screwed on straight. When one takes on the negative qualities of other people around them, one's head is not screwed on straight.
When one concerns oneself too much about other people's lessons and not enough about one's own lessons, one's head is not screwed onstraight. There are other ways that people in a psychological and philosophic manner don't have their heads screwed on straight! One classic example of this in the New Age Movement is the massive number of Souls who try to balance the darkness and the light! In other words they try to balance the negative ego and Spiritual / Christ / Buddha / Krishna / Moses / Mohammed / Mighty I AM Presence / God / Goddess Consciousness. This may sound ridiculous, but you would be amazed how many people in the world practice such a delusionary, self-deceptive philosophy! Others try to love all parts of themselves, even the negative ego, and because of their lack of First Ray, the negative ego sabotages them! They don't understand how to use personal power properly in life. Also, many people think love is all that is necessary on the Spiritual path. This is self-delusion!
Love is the foundation; however, it is not the only lesson that needs to be learned! How many people don't manifest their Spiritual mission and puzzle piece on Earth! How many people procrastinate, are lazy and being sabotaged by the negative ego / fear-based / separative / dualistic / illusionary / selfish / lower-self / materialistic mind! People's heads are not screwed on straight when they practice personality forms of psychology and think they are being Spiritual, or they focus on the psychological or Spiritual level of the Spiritual path, or the Earthly but not all three in an integrated and balanced manner!
Another example is that people do not know how to progressively process their reality properly. As Sai Baba said 70% of the Spiritual path is self-inquiry! How are they processing the inner and outer information that is coming to them? People do not know how to develop and refine their consciousness. People are deaf and blind, psychologically speaking, and don't even realize it! They are falling down the Spiritual ladder and don't even realize it! These are all examples of not having one's head screwed on straight.
Any time anyone has negative feelings and emotions, one's head is not screwed on straight, for feelings come from thinking and it is showing that you are taking a wrong perspective. It is so easy to get things in self and life out of perspective, to over-react or under-respond. There are sins of omission and commission as the Universal Mind said through Edgar Cayce! People don't have their heads screwed on straight when they are indecisive or are in confusion, for example, when they don't quiet their mind, when they are done working or when they are not able to keep their minds focused and concentrated for long periods of time when they are working. People in life do not practice attitudinal healing on a moment-to-moment basis! They do not respond appropriately to each new situation of life, because of their attitude and perspective. Attitude and perspective is the very foundation of your Spiritual path.
Other examples of not having one's head screwed on straight is having tons of blind spots, mind locks, and veils of light and time, having tons of faulty beliefs. Trying to skip levels. Falling into thirst for power, fame, greed, sexual desire, carnal influence, self-indulgence on any level, giving too much power to the physical body, one's emotions, dreams, people, vanity, giving into anger, fear, over- emotionality, or over-intellectualism! Not seeing life from a more eclectic, synthesized, synergistic and holistic perspective. Also false pride, negative ego ambition, self-aggrandizement, glamour, maya and illusion of all kinds! Giving into temptation. Giving into lower- self desire instead of Spiritual desire. Not keeping one's mind steady in the Light. Not keeping one's attention only on God!
So, My Beloved Readers, the single most important foundational Spiritual practice is to keep one's head screwed on straight. The mind is the builder. Thoughts are things. Thoughts mystically turn into physical experience. As a man thinketh so is he! Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, Christ Buddha, Christ Krishna, Christ Mohammed, and Christ Moses! You are what you think! Change your thinking, change your life! We each see through our perspective. Everyone thinks that what they think and see is true, but the real truth is only what God/dess, Christ, the Holy Spirit and your Mighty I AM Presence and Superconscious Mind thinks and sees is true! Your head is screwed on straight when you think from their thought processes, attitude, perspective, perception and eyes; and not the eyes of your negative ego, fear, separation, personal agenda, wrong motives, selfishness, blindness, deafness, lower self, victim consciousness, automatic pilot, inner child, emotional body, limited lens!
One's head is only screwed on straight when it is screwed into 100% personal power, mastery, causality, Spiritual warrior, unconditional love, Active Intelligence, true wisdom, attunement to God/dess, balance, integration, synthesis and Integrated Full Spectrum Prism Consciousness! Then you have the Spiritual edge, as I like to call it. Then you are co-creating with God/dess, Christ the Holy Spirit, the Mighty I AM Presence and Father/Mother God's Masters and Angels!
Spirit, the Masters and I hope that this discussion of how to keep one's head screwed on straight in an "Integrated Spiritual Ascended Master"manner has proven to be insightful and illuminating!
