Important Information For All Members Regarding The New Paid Memberships?

Hello Everyone!
As of Friday, January 14, United Starseeds went to paid memberships. The purpose of this email is to explain the paid membership program and how it affects anyone you invite that may join United Starseeds.
1) Anyone you invite is subject to a 7 day trial membership. When people sign up they have two choices: a 7 day trial membership or a full membership. If they pay their membership fee within the week, they automatically get the Bonus Download package. After that, they can still purchase a United Starseeds membership, but they must purchase the download package separately.
2) Only members invited by an Admin may get in free.
3) Invited members MUST provide an invitation code, which is then checked against the invite list it came from (invitation code + email address)..
So how do get your friends in free?? It's simple really... If you give me their email address, I will invite them and then they will have an invitiation code -- ****however**** I will only take these requests with a MINIMUM of 100 at a time. You'll need to send me a spreadsheet with all of their email addresses.
If you are a TRIAL member you may EARN your f-ree membership by successfully getting TWO paid memberships to United Starseeds. Likewise if you are a non-trial member, you may earn a bonus package for yourself by getting TWO paid memberships to United Starseeds. You will have to provide the names of the members so that you can be properly credited.
In the relatively near future I will be setting up a referral program for all United Starseeds members which will give everyone the o-pportunity to earn money for every paying member they refer. As of now it will probably be a "single tier" program, with a referral bonus of around $15.00/per membership. This will be a great way to e-arn extra cash for yourself and support the site :)

An Important Message To All Members Regarding The Future Of United Starseeds?

Hello Everyone,
As many of you know, this network has been in a severe financial crunch, and I've been looking for ways to monetize the network, not only to pay the bills; but to pay for all the time I spend here and allow me to dedicate myself full time to being a United Starseeds Administrator.
For those who think that they can come to this network, enjoy all its benefits and then say "money is just to be laughed at" -- Think Again! It takes $50/month to pay the hosting bill, and if that bill is not paid, then the network goes down! Last month, I had to go without eating, just to be able to pay it! It's not just about that though, it's about my being able to sustain myself, because if I cannot; then my immediate concern has to be with my every day life and not this network.
Everyone here should know that I work a 40 hour week, just to pay the bills. This does not count travel time, eating etc...In addition to the 40 hour week, I put in an additional 30+ hours/week on United Starseeds, managing, developing and promoting. (4 hours/day on weekdays/5+ hours/day on weekend days; sometimes more) This does not count the time I spend counseling members or getting up in the middle of the night to avert some crisis! I did a calculation of all the time I've spent working on this website since it was first created on July 23, 2009. At $10/hour, with all the hours I have put in I would be owed: $24,300!
After taking some preliminary advice, I decided to hand pick 12 United Starseeds members for a special survey (their names are not known, even amongst themselves) I presented them with all the options (which included charging everyone $2-$4/month and some even MORE unsavory options) and asked for their advice. It's really true that the whole is much more than the sum of its parts, becaue I came up with a solution that I had not though of! What follows is a combination of the group opinions, combined with what I feel is best for myself, United Starseeds, and the membership as a whole:
Beginning the 1st of January or shortly thereafter, all NEW memberships will be PAID memberships. (This will not affect current members or anyone that joins between now and the end of the year). It will be a ONE time fee, and will include a special "package" of close to 50 digital products available for immediate download. The products will include E-Books, Audio, Video, Music and perhaps even software. These products will include some very well known titles on subjects everyone here is very familiar with, and are designed to enrich peoples lives, just like they have enriched mine! They will be available through Google Checkout. The price will be $29.95 for a value of $600+! The packages will also include a free Astrology or Numerology reading from me. For OLD members, they will be optional and available for purchase at any time. As soon as all the products are uploaded to the server, I will have a list available, so you can decide whether you would like to purchase the package. (I have the server space, products and Google Checkout, so it's just a matter of time now)
For those of you inviting members here: ****VERY IMPORTANT**** Please make sure they join before the end of the year to be sure they will not be required to pay for membership!

you will see that part of Ascension, has to do with helping those who know less than you. Even though it is almost 2011, there are MANY people still awakening and joining this website. Alot are LOST! For those who have discovered your Askashic Records, know your guides and teachers etc... and are secure with your abilities. HELP THEM!
I am ONE person, and as much as I know, I cannot do all the work myself. I spend 30 hours/week promoting and developing this website IN ADDITION to a full time job!
In addition to helping others, one of the most important things you can do to help United Starseeds is to POST in the groups! This brings traffic and membership. (Especially the groups that don't get much activity... like Astronomy).. It takes but a few seconds to Google the subject of the group, grab an interesting article and post it in a
group and I encourage everyone to do so! You don't have to be an expert in a subject to post. Just know where to find the information. Social network means
just that: SOCIAL. Which means that your contributions help make the network what it is!
I want to make United Starseeds "self-sustaining" (which
means making enough revenue from the advertising to pay all my bills and be able to dedicate myself full-time to this website without having to work an outside
job). This also means that there will never have to be any calls for donations or membership fees required in order for me to be able to maintain the site
open. The way to do this is by bringing TRAFFIC to the site, and new members.. Right now the way things are set up, is that when you post, your posting goes
ALL over the internet.. AUTOMATICALLY. The more you post, the closer this vision comes to becoming a reality.

I woke suddenly from my 41 year sleep with a sudden rush of answers. Every why I had ever asked (and some I had never considered) were all answered in a three hour period while I was at work. It was a type of overwhelming I still cannot find sufficient words for, and that was just the start. It took one full year to awaken and I experienced so many extremes that I cannot count. I went through most of this year alone with only my husband (who was waking at the same rate). I had not had internet access until Feb of '09. Within a week of getting on line, and through the strangest random trail imaginable, I found my way here.
I had no idea there could be others like me. Our own earth parents were not a part of our lives and our children were all grown and a state away. We felt alone and crazy until I found this place. I have watched many come and go as they grow into their own awakenings. I have watched the outpour of concern and emotion for people. I have watched a sense of Unity in sharing knowledge and love.
When ning decided to change its standards and do away with the free sites, many of us who have ning sites have had to downsize or ask for money where none was needed before. This place is a family to me. It is more of a family than the humans who raised me have ever been. I can ask questions and there is no response of "what do you want now?" There is only offerings of help and sharing of experience to guide each other and help us all in this process.
I am telling you this because for the first time in my life, (well this one anyway) I want to save my family. I want everyone to understand and appreciate what this place is for many of us who have lived far too long in outcast jail.
I have spent too much time losing family and friends. I don't want to lose this one as well. Please let this place remain for all who are still looking. The time is urgent and this family needs assistance.
Thank you United Starseeds and all the members who are here and who have moved on in their journey. I can honestly say I love this beautiful family of diversity and love. Let's do what we can to keep it here.
